OneCNC Series Updates

This is a history of all OneCNC updates.

You may notice sometimes there can be a jump in version numbers.

This is due to intensive and continual internal testing where we thoroughly test versions before releasing proven functional updates.

OneCNCXP 5.23

The OneCNCXP 5.23 Version is now released to licensed users of OneCNCXP. The file is over 100 Meg so you need to contact the sales office for the link if you can handle that size file. Those that can't should discuss getting a CDROM from your sales office. It is an update with many new features and also corrections as reported by our beta team and our own internal rigorous testing. We must place on record the tremendous support and help we receive from our team.

The major functional additions are.

New Pocketing:
A new multi-logic 2 1/2 D pocketing function.

This function has a selection of entry methods such as helix ramp entry, zig zag ramp entry ramp boundary and plunge entry. New tool control over pocketing from the outside in or inside out. New control over climb or conventional milling which also covers the helix and zig zag entries. This addition applies to the OneCNC-XP mill production, professional and the Expert versions.

New Z Level Roughing:
New SMT multi logic Z level roughing

This function has a selection of entry methods such as helix ramp entry, zig zag ramp entry ramp boundary and plunge entry. New control over pocketing from outside in or inside out. New control over climb or conventional milling which also covers the helix and zig zag entries. This addition applies to the OneCNC-XP Mill Professional and Expert versions.

The multi logic is immensely intelligent in the respect that if you for example select helix ramp entry because you believe it will fit as it machines down into the various levels if it comes to a level where the helix entry will not fit it stops and gives you the option of electing another option for the next level which may be zig zag ramp or if there is no room left you may have to use plunge entry.

The pocket that you are cutting may have difficult islands or tapered walls and all sorts of obstructions to prevent normal single position entry. It may even move the entry point for the helix automatically to find the optimized position at each level.

That's why we named it MLP multi logic pocketing. This has been in OneCNCXP development for over a year as it is a highly intelligent and very technical addition to OneCNC-XP functionality.

New NC File Preview Function:
Now we introduce a special new function in OneCNC-XP

Totally new dynamically controlled NC file preview of your part being machined. This is the most interactively capable CAM simulation that we believe has been developed yet. You can see the tool machining the part and while this is happening like a visual movie you have complete control over the viewing method. While it is in action you can rotate zoom and pan while it is in motion without the motion stopping. This is something special to see. Users that have seen and used it tell us that it is awesome so we will let you be the judge also.

These are the major additions but there are many other minor tune ups as we prefer to call them.

This completes the release of this product although if there are technical problems they will naturally be fixed as they are reported. We have some very experienced highly productive mold shops using the software and they are telling us that it is saving them bundles and commend us on how solid the system is.

The verification tools all developed in house by our own development team is now developed to a level now that other cam vendors can only dream about.

I am sure as the real ability of the OneCNCXP range starts to emerge fully our users will part of an ever growing CAM community.

This is now available. Please contact your sales office for this update if you are a licensed OneCNC-XP user.
